Suggest why lysine leaves the column after alanine?
Why does having a more positive charge affect the stationary phase please and how long lysine stays in the column

more polar bonds means a higher affinity (attraction) to the stationary phase bc its also polar
if there's a higher affinity to the stationary phase (the colomn) lysine will move more slowly and have a longer retention time
