Messaging teacher

I am about to leave year 11 and have had some difficulties with mental health and other things, i had a teacher from year 8 to year 10 and she left about a year ago and still miss her and would like to catch up with her but the only contact i have is her facebook, i wouldn’t be requesting her or anything but would it be weird to just message and ask if she wants to have a catch up with me? We had a very close relationship.

i dont think it would be weird if you have pure intentions- im sure since you havent had her as a teacher for ages it is okay since she is not ur current teacher either!
