Quitting Uni for financial reasons

I applied and got in at UAL for foundation art. However i didn't realise how expensive it is to travel there from where i live. Ive just been there to pick up my student card and spent too much money on transport which i wont have access to. I am also becoming unsure if i want to go due to some other reasons as well. What would happens if i gave a notice to the uni that i wont be going? Will i be in debt?
