HELP ME

hi,

i'm trying to figure out what percentage i need to achieve in my 3rd year to get a 1st overall.

2nd year counts for 33% of my degree and 3rd year counts for 66% of my degree.

in 2nd year i got 64.6%
70% = 1st

what would i need to get in 3rd year to get an overall 1st?

The first point to make is that what you've stated above is not correct, as 33% and 66% don't sum to 100%. Where does the final 1% come from? I'm going to assume that you mean to say that 1/3 comes from year 2 and 2/3 comes from year 3.

You'll need 73% in year 3 to attain a first overall, based upon the information you have provided.

Hi,
If you type the information that you've provided into a university grade calculator then you should be able to see what sort of grades you need overall. This is also helpful to type in hypothetical grades for yourself so you can be prepared for the worst case scenario.
This is the one I use: https://gradecalc.co.uk/
I hope this helps,
Best wishes,
Meg 🙂
