Caught smoking a joint and 7 grams of weed in my university halls

Was smoking in my university accommodation and had a knock from security saying there’s a strong marijuana smell coming from my room, this my first time being caught for anything. one of the security guards said that they’re 90% sure i’m just gonna get a caution and a course that costs £25, is this true or will i get kicked out my course? the security guard was with someone from student life and they put the weed and joint in an evidence bag, extremely scared of whats going to happen next
