Anyone else hate this book?

I read it and found it tedious.

Anyone thinking of spending 3 hours reading it might do better to spend 5 minutes reading this summary, and spend the rest of the time in the pub.

"... Philippe croise à nouveau la belle inconnue en blanc qui l’invite chez elle. Il est hanté par l’image de cette femme et refuse d‘en parler à Vinca. Il saisit l'opportunité de porter un télégramme à la villa de la Dame en blanc et connaît le plaisir avec elle.

Troublé par cette aventure Philippe regagne la maison familiale. Il regarde Vinca se reposer et sent le fossé qui s’est creusé entre eux. Ne faisant plus attention à ce qu'il fait, il tombe dans le fossé, et trouve ainsi une mort subite et inattendue."
