What? So if somebody has self control then they're automatically not a peadophile, great logic there. Truly, congratulations on making the most moronic statement I've seen in this thread. Most peadophiles don't abuse children, most peadophiles suppress their urges, most peadophiles don't rape (or molest or condition) children, most merely want to show a child how to love.

If you're going to keep going on about this, can you at least spell 'paedophilia' correctly?

You can spell it both ways.
In a perfect world, people wouldn't perve on kids. I think the idea in principle sounds like a good one but the chances of it working are second to none. More people prefer watching regular porn to anime so the same will apply to child porn.

And infact because it would be animated then the animators would probably go over the top with the various sexual activities and encourage the perverts to experiment with these ideas in real life. On real kids. In the same way that porn has in some ways destroyed the traditional values of sex imo.

If you wish to give your opinion, I suggest you read the whole conversation. As you can see in post #166, I've already answered to that.

And yet indeed some do, and that is where the problem is.

Maybe we don't overcome our natural instincts, but we learn to control them, that's what separates us from (other) animals, the sense of right and wrong. You can live without sex, a lot of people make sexual abstinence and manage to survive just fine.

No they don't. There's a reason there are lot of sex abuse cases from people who are trying to remain abstinent (in churches and such). Of course some people pull through but that is a very small number, I wouldn't be surprised if some of those are asexual. The average person isn't able to do this however.

Maybe the desire will always linger, but I don't believe it will be nearly as strong as when you watch children pornography all the time. It's like putting fuel in a fire. The less they think about it, the less they will fantasize about it.

Less porn means more fantasizing or just as much. Again this is something that needs evidence.

But it's different, because it's normal for a straight guy to have sex with women, and when he watches porn, he knows he's going to have sex sooner or later. If he knew he couldn't have sex, that would be a torture.

It wouldn't be torture, it would give him some satisfaction (hell knows porn has helped satisfy me when I'm not able to have sex, not being able to watch porn is torture!).

And possibly advocate rape, who knows.

Again this claim needs evidence.

I understand your point, that taking away porn from a pedophile won't change their sexual instinct. But if giving him porn won't fully satisfied him, and he will feel the need to have sex, then what's the point of giving him children porn? To reduce the rapes to half? Giving child porn to pedophiles is not the solution at all. Not to mention that it is sick and immoral.

How is letting them draw porn immoral? It's their own imagination and they are entitled to it as long as these drawing are never made public. Of course I would recommend that we still keep tabs on these drawings as there is always the potential that real child porn will be passed along too.

And I never said it would reduce rape rates. I just find it ridiculous that drawn images are being made illegal. Until it's proven that it increases rape I am against the ban. You could always use Japan as a case study but you will have to take into account their culture and handling of child abuse cases.

As I said above, neither will child pornography. And they will feel the need to have sex with children sooner or later, so children pornography won't be the solution for them.

Taking away drawn images isn't going to help the situation either.
