Personally, I'm in favour after doing a little research.
Basically an artist draws children in sexual poses etc. Note: these drawings are not drawn real life child models.
We proscribe child pornography to keep children from getting sexually exploited. Cartoon characters aren’t real people, and we don’t need to protect them from predators.

That's just sick, I hope you are just very bored and are not serious. Who would you employ to draw them? Talented child molestors?
I think that it still carries the same principle as child pornography. I wouldn't be in favour of this.

I think it'll make things worse.
For example:
Normal guy gets intrigued by anime child porn - likes it - gets a real 'taste' for it - goes looking for the real thing.
It's still the same in principle, even if it is a cartoon, it's still of a child. Also, the men (and/or women?) getting off over are still more likely to visualise a real child rather than a drawing in the mind.
This thread makes me feel dirty.
I dont think it would help or solve anything tbh. Whilst in theory I can see why people may think that it would, I think the reality would be that it would just encourage those kinds of people to want to live out their fantasies.
In the same way seeing something in normal porn can make people fixate about it, I think this could also be the case here. I dont think that in practice it would stop children being exploited and molested unfortunatly.

How's it sick? Would you rather a peadophilia expressed their urges through masturbation to animated child porn, or, on the other hand, physically abuse a real child? And no, regardless of how witty you may think you were being, it'd just be normal artists, you don't need to be a child molestor to draw.

I saw that thread and it was talking about regulating child porn, apart from the little sentence at the end I don't think it focused primarily on animated child porn.

By making something legal it doesn't make it acceptable, nor does it mean we're condoning it. Does the government condone adultery by not making it illegal?
and some forms of child pornografy in the cartoon world can serve a different function as well
