Hey Chix. i also do AQA and my chem teacher has been going over finding X in an equation like Na2CO3XH20 and has also been going through loads of Ka and PKa things. im pretty sure he's trying to hint us in the right direction.... i hope this helps! Rob
I've had its an observation. The planning was to find the Ka of an acid last year. My predictions are either a water of crytallisation, titration or an organic prep for the planning!
Since they gave us test-tube reactions for AS last year, I'm going to assume that they won't give us the same this year. The 'finding X in etc.' was on last year's paper also, (in the analysis).
I wouldn't mind a titration as the experiment, though they could throw in an enthalpy change or something else.
