If I'm making for myself it's usually:

Teabag in.
Water in.
Drink.

No milk? Leave teabag in?
This is just madness...

Or a fruit tea...
You can't just remove the teabag, it MUST be squeezed!

Yeah leave teabag in usually unless I'm soon to go to bed. For all tea types I have.. Just prefer the stronger stewed taste :colondollar:
Am i the only one who puts in 3-4 teaspoons of sugar?

3-4 more than you should, and probably.

Nope! I normally put between no sugar to 2 dessert spoons, or 4 teaspoons of sugar, depending what I'm having :blushing:
Any post that includes "add sugar" at any point, is making tea wrong. Categorically.

- teabag in
- sugar in
- water in
- milk in
- remove teabag

No. Never milk before teabag removal, just why?
Original post by Phoebe Buffay
Well for me, it goes:

1. Add sugar
2. Add milk
3. Add water and stir
4. Add tea bag and let it brew

That's new, still end up with milky tea bag though

What if I don't add water at all?

Put in tea bag
Add sugar
Put in hot milk.
Take tea bag out
Mix it.

Here's how it's done:

~Sugar in first so you can see that it's all dissolved plus you don't get those weird tea/sugar lumps in your sugar.
~Add hot water
~Add tea bag once sugar has dissolved
~Remove tea bag once tea has reached desired strength
~Add milk

How can anyone argue with that it's perfection!

That's for my morning tea, it varies what I have sometimes just milk sometimes just sugar and sometimes nothing, I like to mix it up I'm crazy like that.
Shall I show you the Indian way?

1) Add half a cup (mug you're going to drink in) of water and half a cup of milk into a pan..
2) Add tbsp of loose tea (I like it strong)
3) let the stuff come to a boil and stir occasionally.
4) Pour it out into a mug.. make sure you use a sieve (small ones) to get rid of loose tea
5) Add one tsp of sugar and mix
6) Drink it.. it tastes awesome!!!

Nah bags are good, less effort

No less effort, but much worse tea, I mean, have you seen what actually goes into bags? It's all the crap left over after taking the leaves off for proper tea.

If you put milk in whilst the tea bag is in I think you seriously need to reevaluate your life. As well as that, people who put the sugar in after they have added the milk, it's incorrect - and inefficient, as the sugar dissolves faster in boiling tea.
Use a tea pot steep for a few minutes remove the bag pour into cups and add milk!
