Higher History

Hi guys, i was just wondering if Higher history is like english in that to pass it you needed a total of 50 marks overall? i was told in history if you were to get 25 on your extended and 15 on both essays you would get an overall fail if you didint pass paper 2? Thoughts?

As far as I know, unless the SQA reduce the pass mark, you have to get 50% to pass. I don't think you have to pass both papers, since the overall mark is taken from all parts of the exam. I'm not 100% sure, but I wouldn't think you'd fail entirely.

There is also the Extended Essay to consider which accounts for 30% of the overall mark...

I assume that you just get a total from all papers and that is where your award comes from...
