I used to loan a horse, and the owner of the stables bought a shetland. She'd been abused - tied to the back of a Range Rover by her legs and dragged around, hit with sticks etc. When she came to the stables she was so afraid of humans but she gradually began to accept them. She was adorable and I miss her so much!

I only have this photo from when she first came (she was in the stable next door). You can see how afraid she is. She was really cute though
