Chemistry Work Experience

I live fairly close to london, does anybody know of any companies that offer like 10months work experience in a chemistry related job? :confused:

Im in the upper sixth and will be taking my gap year in summer 2006.

The national physical laboratory in Teddington offer summer vacation work for post-A level students, although with more of a physical chemistry slant, if you've got physics and maths http://www.npl.co.uk/npl/vacancies/vacancies/summer/
. Not sure about 10months tho.

There's also the Laboratory of government chemists www.lgc.co.uk in Teddington - not sure if they do placements but may be worth emailing them.

At your level it will be very difficult for you to get a company to do any type of placement scheme, partly because many chemical companies are involved in university sandwich course placements already and partly because of the need for intense supervision.
