do universities accept s' or s's or both?Would you lose marks ,if you use the wrong one?I thought s's,would be allowed but apparently not,according to my brother.

Generally for assignments because you could lose marks quite quickly if you used the incorrect form.

I don't think it matters. I'll tell you what they don't accept though: not putting spaces after commas and full stops.
