mine had an alcohol group on the left and a -COOH on the right I think

Last question answer?

I got 0.0250 or something then changed to 1.8575 or something ... roughly . Couple of people got 0.4???.

Was the equation Cr + 2h+ ---> H2 + cr3+ (with the balancing(

Yeah i got that equation! Couldn't do the last one though! Only did like 2 lines.....there were too many numbers to work from in such little time :frown:

Alcohol group one side C.acid group the other?

ahh same! I'm sure it was that, cause both sides made an ester link when polymerised

Yeah, that's what I got!

but for the chromium equation I got:
Cr(s) +3H+(aq) > Cr3+(aq) + 3/2 H+(g)
What did you guys get for the infrared question? I put an alcohol group :s-smilie:

Oh and the bidendate question about drawing the 3-d molecule....HOW WERE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO THAT?!
nothing beats a good cry after a chemistry exam

yeah i put down ester as well  Glad a few of my answers are beginning to look common!

3/2 H+ ??? Wasn't it 3H2

couldn't agree more!

I put there was no alcohol group!! D: and yeah... I was at a loss for that one too

I put 6 Ns around the central ion (top and bottom just normal line, two dotted lines and two wedges) then joined up each pair of Ns with the carbon-carbon bond

That made almost no sense. I couldn't attach a diagram it wouldn't let me :frown:

I got this too.

And I also got 0.4g for the last question.

haha oops fail, i put 3/2H2

how could it be 3H2?
There are 3H+ on the left side, so the right should e 1/2 H2 ?????
