Dissertation on Brand Loyalty and Price Sensitivity

I've chosen to do a dissertation on brand loyalty and price sensitivity relationship and my supervisor suggested I add in a concept of ''buying situation'' to the equation. That is to day, How loyal are customers in the buying situation when they see maybe, a random promotion from competitors etc.

He's since gone on vacation and is irresponsive obv, but was wondering what kind of questions should I add in the questionnaires. What Direction should I take? I was thinking in terms of 3 sections one to ask about loyalty, second about customer price sensitivity and the third about how they would react in the store. which would be the hard part.
