Question about American study

Hi, I'm 15 years old and I'm studying IGCSE right now.
It is really nice to join TSR.
Well, I got a question:
If I want to apply for some American unis, must I take the SAT results? What if I have some A-Level results?
Hey there
Yeah, you've got to take SATs and I think ACTs. Your A Levels/IGCSE count though, it's just that you've got to do some extra tests. I was going to go to uni in America too, but with the cost and conversions I decided to stay in the UK

Actually you have to take SATs or ACTs - not both. Although some US unis are now "test-optional", which means they don't require either (though these are rare, and some of them still *prefer* to see SAT scores even if they don't make it mandatory).
