Transnational Corporations?!

Hi everyone, first post so please be nice!

Studying AS AQA Geography and all was going well until I met TNCs. I know I need to know about a pharmaceutical company (we are doing GSK) and a tobacco (we are doing BAT).

Was just wondering if anyone has survived this exam because I don't feel like I've actually learnt about them, so could someone kindly give me some pointers or notes. Many thanks.

I've done AQA AS Geography so I feel like I'm in a position to help. Can you be a bit more specific as to which exam you're referring to? I presume it's Unit 1? I don't believe TNCs are a massive topic, you just need to know your case studies and be aware that Transnational Corporations are involved in globalisation and play an important role in the world economy. The revenue of some of the world's largest TNCs like Walmart have a figure higher than the GDP of some countries (Walmart has a slightly higher revenue than Argentina's GDP for example). For my case studies, I made small revision cards with all the key points I had to know. I thoroughly recommend you buy some for you to write on. Hope that helped.
