For my homework, I was told to make a hypothesis for an air damped oscillating mass and spring system. I realise that the amplitude will decrease, but how would you work out how the amplitude would decrease with time?
I know the initial amplitude will be 0.37m, the mass of the object will be 0.6kg, and the area of the cardboard which will be used as a damper is 0.038m^2.
