i have a conditional offer on aeronautical engineering with foundation year, i applied for accommodation and i was told this:
Thank you for making an application for accommodation at the University of Salford, however, we have not yet sent you an offer of a room as your place to study is conditional upon examination results or other conditions.

Please do not worry, we will send you an offer of accommodation as soon as your offer of study is converted to an Unconditional offer, usually after you receive your A level results.

Regards

Accommodation Team

how is it everyone else on here has already got an accommodation sorted, im confused helllp

I have no idea why they've sent you that, reply to them and query it?
If you have a conditional offer you will not get an offer for a room until results day  Unless you have applied for accommodation outside of the university such as student village and IQ or somewhere else  Well that's what I got told  But you can still query it if you're unsure

This thread is where people post who have booked at Salford IQ. They are a third party student accommodation company, and therefore you don't need to wait for your results to book. Here is their website; and Here is the Facebook page for those who have booked accommodation with them.

Hope this helps!
oh thanks ! which accommodation are the best for first year students too have all the fun hahha

I had the same response. I was told that as soon as my offer becomes unconditional, on results day. My accommodation offer will then be sent to me. They could not confirm my accommodation at Constantine, Horlock or Castle Irwell. They said I would be put in one of those but Constantine was already booked up! I guess they must be booked with students with unconditional offers already. Anyway I decided I liked the look of IQ Tennyson 4 so I have booked there, if I don't get in at Salford come results day I get my deposit back. Hope this helps.
i've just found this review on Google and its only a month old...

'If you're a mature student this is the place to be. If you're a young student going for your first or second year, looking to make friends, socialise and have a few parties this is NOT the place. The staff are STRICT when it comes to quiet times. As soon as it hits 11pm it's all music off and no parties as security come around the whole campus every hour checking. They advertise that the central hub is for parties and such however security come and close them all down the moment it hits 11pm. Totally disappointed with this accommodation for my first year, can't wait to leave and have some independence. This place is supposed to be YOUR home, what you are paying rent for, instead you feel like you're in a boarding school.'

tbh, that's pretty true.

They are pretty damn strict with stuff. ESPECIALLY with room inspections and noise complaints.

(spent this year at iQ)
anyone in drinkwater 7?
Im starting this year, I'm in Carroll level 1 flat 4(i think)
wondering who else I'm sharing with:smile:
Is anyone else doing visual arts?
Starting this year and am considering the IQ accommodation, anyone recommend it?
Studying television and radio seems like im not the only one.
Any idea if we get free transport like the university run accommodations?

I'm Tennyson 4 at iq. Went to see it Saturday, very nice, clean and modern immaculate. Good security. I will be at Adelphi so bit of a journey but there is a free campus bus that stops outside IQ. Studying drama and theatre

Stayed in my first year.

Glad to be moving out.
