Hi there everyone,

Could somebody walk me through how to integrate 8x2\frac{8}{x^{2}} please?

Thanks!

Changing it to 8x^(-2) may help :smile:
To add to what's been said:

xn dx={xn+1n+1+C,n1log(x)+C,n=1\displaystyle \int x^{n} \text{ d}x = \begin{cases} \frac{x^{n+1}}{n+1} + \mathcal{C}, & n \neq -1 \\ \log(x) + \mathcal{C}, & n = -1 \end{cases}

Really? Is it that simple? It seemed much harder when I looked at it lol.

Thanks for your help.
