I need work experience in psychology to apply for university??

Hi,
I'm doing an access to higher education course to get into university in 2015, but i need work experience?
I'm looking into doing criminology and psychology joint course, which is of course competitive, therefore need work experience relative to the course.

I live in the oxfordshire area, and really need something close by.

I have emailed a couple of companies however all seem to say they don't take work experience.

Does anyone have any experience in this? what did you do?
Or is anyone doing this now?

any information can help!
I didn't have any. The psychology course doesn't usually require it. Just as long as you show you're interested in the subject.

I've heard of criminology needing experience. The easiest way to get it is through doing voluntary work. See the likes of do-it.org.uk

For example: offenders and ex-offender volunteering near Oxford
Both of those subjects are studied academically at uni so you don't need work experience but you do need to show your interest in the subjects especially with extra reading around them
