it's around that time where a lot of people (myself included) have just sent off applications to UCAS and are hoping for a place in medicine for 2015 entry / 2016 deferred entry
I saw a few posts asking whether there was an Interview thread for medicine so I thought I'd make one.
I'm actually reapplying this year (improved my UKCAT from 682.5 to 762.5 :O) so I've done this before and may be able to help people with any questions.
So the aim of this thread is for people to give each other advice for any interviews we might receive and to just discuss our options !
Good luck all! x
P.S The purpose of the poll is so that we can know when a university has started sending out interview invites. If you get an invitation for an interview, please select the uni on the poll. As I could only choose 16 universities, I chose the ones that I thought popped up the most on the Medicine2015/UKCAT2015 threads
I'll change the poll to OFFERS when the time is right.
Hi guys haven't seen an interview preparation thread for 2015 entry so thought that I'd create one. If you know of any other useful interview prep material, please share it as it will be useful for other people too.
PLEASE NOTE: Users are reminded that they should follow the policies of the individual medical schools regarding discussion of interview questions from current/previous application cycles.
Hey everyone! With the application deadline approaching, more people will start sending off their applications. I'm starting this thread for those who want to start interview preparation as early as possible.
Can I just emphasise that this thread is for interview preparation, not post-interview discussion. Please refrain from doing so as it is against TSR policy.
2012 Interview Preparation Thread: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=1809163 I would advise everyone to first read the 2012 Interview Preparation thread to have an idea of the style of interview questions asked.
Hi, do you need to change all of your personal statement from last year, to avoid plagiarism against yourself? I'm in the same situation and want to keep a few sentences from last year but not sure if its safe!

What unis want is for it to be your own work. I REALLY doubt that reusing your old statement, which is your own work, would be against the rules
Was about to ask the same! i have the wobbles now...im applying to Sheffield, Southampton, Birmingham and Cardiff..was a hard decision cos I like Nottingham too and Kings (cost of living put me off) Just hope that I have made wise choices..What about you? ...was even tempted by Edinburgh but the distance put me off there..I so want to do medicine and have everything crossed.....
Awesome. Applying for Southampton, KCL, Warwick, and Newcastle. All Grad Entry. Finishing off my PS and hoping to send off everything early next week to avoid the risk of UCAS crashing on the 16th!
Heyy guys! I have sent mine off and I've applied to Barts, Manchester, Sheffield and Exeter for Medicine and Queen Mary's for Biomed... When do we start getting replies back from them?

Barts (because I'm a European Bac student I'm solely assessed on 762.5 Band 1 UKCAT so no debate really) Manchester (grades + UKCAT exceed minimum) Cardiff (Low EB requirements ) Aberdeen (Absolutely loved it while visiting a friend and they focus on grades and UKCAT)
