Cardiff A100 2024 offer holders

hey, is there an official Cardiff A100 2024 offer holders thread?

I don't believe so. Was just wondering when you guys think there will be an offer holder day, and what accommodation you're eyeing? I'm stuck mainly between which of the Talybonts to choose.

based solely on aesthetics currently, i like the look of talybont gate. is cardiff your firm? i’m hoping that if they have an offer holder day that it’ll be during the easter hols
Have you guys had offers for Medicine at Cardiff? If so when did you hear back?

Yes! I heard back yesterday, but I am pretty sure they are giving out some more offers today, I heard back around 18:45 by refreshing UCAS so may be the same time

I am also thinking taly gate.... or court? I am not 100% sure yet, somewhere close to the hospital preferably

I'll look into it! I agree it's hard to make a judgement as of yet, providing we only have the information from online sources and open days (if attended, which I very vaguely remember). I'm also hoping for an offer holder day very soon. Yes, Cardiff is my firm.

Agreed. What is the difference though? I've heard that Taly Gate is expensive and that Court and North are decent, with North being closer. But nothing conductive as of yet.

Tuesday at 19:05. But dw, there are many more batches to come! As long as you haven't heard back, don't expect the worst, it's like Schrodingers offer! Don't jump to conclusions, it'll all be fine in the end. : ))

My son has just had his 3rd offer for Medicine from Cardiff. We are just waiting to hear back from Bristol. Good luck to those still waiting to hear

i believe gate is exactly halfway between the two campuses (not entirely sure how our time is spread between the two? if at all?). better to be safe than sorry i suppose haha

Hi, I'm going to the offer holder day on the 11th and I've signed up for the 9am slot, but train times mean i'll probably arrive a bit later. Do you think its okay to arrive a bit later than 9? I'm assuming it will be fine, i'm just wary because the email didn't include much information about the timings. any advice would be appreciated!!

Hi, I'd say it's generally better to arrive maximum at the venue before 9:25, as the talk begins at 9:30. I've attached the days plan below ) you're right there wasn't much info, but there's a general talk, then you break off for communication workshop and a mock CBL session, before a Q&A. Roughly the entire event was less than 3 hours.
