Hi guys, I just wanted to ask because I’m hoping to apply to the Glasgow access programme at UofG and the gateway to medicine programme at Dundee and Aberdeen, do you have to have faced some sort of adversity in your life or can you apply based on your postcode etc.

Hi, I'll be applying to Glasgow and Aberdeen. you can apply purely based on your postcode, or if you don't meet the postcode requirements its if you've been in care, had free school meals or been involved in a reach programme

Ahh okay👌, also if your applying to Aberdeen after completing the gateway to medicine do you need to do the UCAT and an interview to get into the medicine degree?

You'll do the UCAT during the summer before 1st year and the interviews happen in December
I was wondering about SAAS funding because I know for the GAP programme the funding is free but is it free for the gateway to medicine in Dundee and Aberdeen? And also after completing the one year programme would we be allowed to apply to SAAS for funding for the normal medicine degree because we’ve already done higher education and it won’t be our first time entry into higher education you get me

We should still be able to get funding by SASS because you can apply at any point in your degree as ling as you've lived in Scotland 3 years prior
I've heard we wont hear back for interviews until january though
would you say its yo late to apply the week we're back..so around the 8th?
i've just been so worried that i'm applying too late as i've been told people are already receiving offers even though i thought no one gets offers until the deadline has passed.
