Best books for chemistry OCR A and Edexcel snab Biology at A2?

Hey guys
i have recently searched for best books for biology snab and i've looked up CGP but it seems to be a "bad reivision guide" as someone have mentioned because biology is hard and you need the detail rather than brief outline of it.

Some have suggested NAS purple books i've looked through them but it doesn't cover some topics in topic 6.

Do you have any other books that will get me top grade because i am resitting the year and i want an A for both chem and bio.

As for Chemistry we're doing OCR A and CGP is the only one i can think of, yet its not challenging enough to some question they throw at you in the exam.

Can you suggest any advanced chem book too?

The official OCR A textbook is great for chemistry in terms of relevant detail, plus there are mindmaps etc at the end of each section and lots of questions to help. I think CGP should be used for revision mainly, or in conjunction with the textbook :smile:
