Summer in France- working in a library

Hi there. Thanks for reading.
I'm studying Japanese and French at UEA. Since I'm studying Japanese from scratch, I have to spend an academic year in Japan, and spend at least 10 weeks in France around that.
I'm not really sure what I want to do, especially since I'm not there for that long. I want to avoid working with children if possible. I'm interested in library work after graduating, and so have been looking into working in a library while in France.
Do you think this is possible, or should I look for other areas of work? I'm worried that I'm not being flexible enough. Any ideas or suggestions for other areas of work would be great.
