Does watching porn make you stupid?
my parents told me this today, is this actually true? I bet it is another one of those ridiculous things parents tell you to try to control you but just want to make sure

Well it depends what you would be doing instead of watching porn.
It doesn't make you particularly smart. I'd personally reccommend softcore porn which is what I use to get off. I'll post a link right now

Watching porn *could* give you an unrealistic expectation of what sex is like and how women should be treated and if you're watching porn instead of studying then you won't be improving your knowledge but on its own it won't make you stupid.

I found this - a study based on a "relatively small sample", which itself admits that:
[the study] did not determine whether watching porn leads to the decreased volume and activity
I don't know but I never watch it so I wouldn't know...

Trust me the majority of people watch porn - male AND female. As long as you enjoy it and you don't inflict it on others 'go for it'. I look a few times a week and think I am reasonably sane!! I work in media production so it's a kind of escapeism - being opposite to my work.
