its often easier to avoid intimate sexual relationships that are wlw (women-loving-women) because they make you confront your own social and personal insecurities about being a lesbian. its hard to be queer, and seeing lesbian porn might be too close to personal experience to be comfortable. still, if youre gay, its still more comfortable to watch gay sex than straight sex because it still avoids male-female dynamics (which i assume are not preferable).
also, plenty of straight men watch lesbian porn, so i dont see why you shouldnt watch porn of gay men. on that note, a lot of lesbian porn is made for men, so it can be not that exciting for women to watch! i recommend finding some stuff made specifically for lesbians :-p
