New A Level System?

For myself and many others, there is apparently a new A Level System for those starting their A Level courses in September 2016 (or from this year, I don't know), which involves no official AS level exams.
This will bring a lot more focus onto your predicted A2 grades, interviews, entrance exams, mock exams and GCSEs for universities.
I want to know if this is true. If so, that just makes life a lot harder for me and a lot of others, as I presume these A2 exams will be more demanding, as will the interviews and the entrance exams for universities.

Im sorry to say this is true, im in the year above and we have had some of this already happen, for 3 of my subjects my AS grades dont count towards our A2 grade. But fortunately we still get the AS qualification. Unfortunately you will not.
