anyone recommend doing madasmaths papers?

Only if you're bored of past papers Although it's based on the edexcel specification, some of the question will be a little be more harder.

I mean generally, however right now I'm stuck on finding the asymptote of y = 144 - 26e^-2x
Can someone help me on Q7B on jan 15 IAL C34? Thanks

Anyone understand how they did 6) c)?

-0.04 is -1/25.
Can I have some help with this question please:

I'm stuck on part b)

I feel like I'm doing something wrong -

I've substituted it like.. (sin(1-0.5(0.8)))^1/2 but my answer isn't correct.
Really hoping trig graph sketches don't come up, especially arcsin, arccos and arctan. Even worse if they combine it with transformations, or heaven forbid modulus!
I found it don't worry! I had to see what happens as x tends to infinity.
anyone else pranging hard about this paper

What answer are you getting?

Make sure that you are also in radians.

You mean arcsin, right? Not sin?

[QUOTECould integrate cosec^3x come up in Core 4?

someone do this

I got Y>2 but not sure if that's right as i'm prone to getting these wrong. Basicalls as x tends to infinity I got y tends to 2 and as x tends to 2.0000000001 y tends to infinity. Hence y>2

Is this what it said in mark scheme?

Arcsin and sin are not the same thing.

It should be (arcsin(1-0.5(0.8)))^1/2 which is (inverse sin(1-0.5(0.8)))^1/2
