Christian asylum seekers detained in Thailand despite being UN-registered..

Obviously Thailand isn't a signatory of the UN refugee convention but is allowed the UN to examine those claiming to flee persecution, the UN's incredibly slow response apparently causing some of their more inhumane practices.

Seems a bit of a shambles all around, though I'd wonder why Pakistan couldn't act to create some sort of safe-zone internally for these displaced people, or work with the UN on a better asylum seeking model than them trying to flee to a country which doesn't want to help them. Since the practices of these Islamic "extremists" killing those who won't convert are not meant to be representative of the State's views on Christians...at least one presumes.
