Which degree is more closely related to Political Science & International Relations?

Hello everyone,

I am currently reading Economics and Business Economics and for me it has turned out to be a far too theoretical and quantitative subject, therefore, I am considering changing my programme, however, I am struggling which programme to go for as my passion lies with politics and unfortunately a politics or international relations degree is currently not an option for me.

Therefore, I require some outside perspective and advice on which of the two options available to me, in principle should make me happier and better off both content and future prospects (as I seek to do a Masters degree in either political science or international relations) wise.

My two options are either a European Studies or History (with a specialisation in international relations in historical perspective from the 2nd year onwards) degree; in both programmes I have the option of taking politics and law minors in order to diversify my portfolio.

I am fully aware that virtually no one has an definite answer for me, but I would cherish greatly some outside opinion as this whole dilemma has been on my mind for quite a while and I would highly value some neutral and unbiased advice.

I would say History. Just because, there's more chance of studying actual international affairs, instead of just European affairs.

To be sure, look at the actual classes you'd be taking.
