Why would you divide by 2l for the amplitude?
think he means for working out elastic energy cos you do conservation of energy to get the amplitude.
I did so wrong, and didn't get the centre of the oscillation right either. Assumed it was just where the thing was at equilibrium and started from.

I got R=73/50W, what did you get for coefficient of friction? I got like 0.49 not sure if thats right.

Last one I has some problems with too, I got 0.7m below O for centre of motion.

I'm fairly sure the question asked for a range of values of U where the string would go slack. If that is the case, then U > root(2ag), as the string must reach at least horizontal in order to go slack.

I wrote root(2ag) < U < root(5ag)

Yeah sounds right to be honest, didn't think about that.

I reckon around 60 marks for 90 UMS tbh hardest one I've done

Think I got B as 2.25 and A as -1.25. So e>5/9. And because their components parallel to the wall was the same they could collide again.
