Can anyone recommend me an excellent course text for this specific a-level?
You don't need one really.
The best thing you can do is keep up to date on any of the major news issues throughout the year i.e. terrorism this year, and just read all of the multiple choice questions really well. No text book can teach common sense (i dont think!)
