1. A basic air riffle fires slugs of mas 0.50g at a velocity of 160ms-1.
a)suppose the air rifle of mass 0.80 kg is free to move wen a slug is fired. Calculate the speed which it recoils?
b)normally the rifle is being held.what mean force does the person experience to prevent the rifle recoiling more the 0.50mm when he fires?
2. Just apply the conservation of momentum principle and understanding of impulse to approach this question.
