I realise I didn't offer my thanks before, I know this takes time out of your day so thank you!

Although my request might be slightly unorthodox; do you have any pictures of Belfast itself as a city? I've not really been able to find much. Just things like natural gardens, the good places and the bad (every city has them)?

Also the scenery pictures you shared, how far away are they roughly from the campus?

I'd like to come here but it's slightly odd picking without knowing where I'm going to be living even looks like

As promised, here are a few images from outside Lanyon and the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics.

I've included a couple from Botanic Gardens which is right beside us (you can see the McClay Library peeking out over the trees) and also a couple of rainy shots of Botanic Avenue.

Hope it helps to build up a better picture for you!

Oh wow, it looks nice and homely even on the wetter days (as I'm told there are many)! Thank you, this does certainly help a lot

Do you have any pictures of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering building?

Hi there alexxxandra :hello:

The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is housed within the Ashby Building in Stranmillis which is a 5 minute walk from the main campus at Lanyon. Stranmillis itself is home to the Ulster Museum, Botanic Gardens and many cafes and restaurants making it a very popular area of Belfast for socialising.

You can read more about the facilities on offer here and I have also attached some images for you to have a look at.

Have you applied for the course for September?

We could tell you how beautiful the Quad is in the autumn sunshine, or describe how handsome Galileo looks furrowing his brow, but we thought it would be better to just show you instead.

If you have any photos you would like to share, please feel free to pop them in this thread. Or if there is anything you would like to see a pic of, just let us know!

Any photos of the School of Natural and Built Environment? I've applied for Geography and I'm wondering what the interior of the faculty is like.

Hi subhumanmemes,

The Geography course is based in the Elmwood Building which is just across the road from the main Lanyon Building and right beside the Students Union.

I've attached a few pictures for you.

I hope these are useful.

Hi there,

do you have pictures of the dental school interior / exterior by any chance? I've applied for dentistry and would love to see more of the facilities such as the phantom heads...

Kind regards,

Hi there Dental 1234 :hello:

The School of Dentistry is based at the Royal Victoria Hospital campus.
Approximately £1 million has been invested in the last five years to ensure Dentistry has the most modern clinical facilities of any UK Dental School. There are 90 dental chairs provided for undergraduate dental teaching as well as NHS clinics. In addition, Queen's facilities include 2 dedicated lecture/seminar rooms, tutorial rooms, as well as a newly refurbished Dental Clinical Skills Laboratory and other laboratory facilities where students are taught in a simulated environment before treating patients.

Below are a few pictures of the School as requested.

Good luck with your application!

Hi there RyanG :wavey:

The School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics is based in University Square just opposite the Graduate School and the new Law building on the main Lanyon campus. It's probably one of the prettiest streets in Belfast at this time of the year!

I've included a few pics for you. If you need anything else please just let me now.

Hi would it be possible to see where the medicine and business economics courses are taught?

Hi Jade G :wavey:

I'll start with Medicine for you. The degree is based in the Medical Biology Centre which houses three large lecture theatres, a purpose built Clinical Skills Education Centre and a Biomedical Library. It is beside City Hospital on Belfast's Lisburn Road and is only a 5 minute walk from the Lanyon Building.

Below are a few photographs of the facility.

(Continued)

The Business Economics degree is based at Queen's School of Management in the beautiful Riddell Hall in Stranmillis. Again it is only a short walk from the main campus at Lanyon.

I've included a few pics below for you.

Have you applied for this September or are you trying to decide what to apply for for next year?

Hello, are there any pictures of the buildings for French and Spanish? Thanks

Hi KevinKeegan :h:

French and Spanish classes are taught in a variety of available classrooms throughout campus but the main offices and rooms (including a break out/study hub) are based on University Square just across the road from the main Lanyon Building. The classrooms are small to suit the size of the classes. I've included some pics for you below.

I hope this helps to give you an idea!
