Multiple Choice SI units question

Hi, so I'm confused about a multiple choice questions which says
"Which of the following gives the correct unit for (g2/G )?
The options are:

A) N
B) N kg-1
C) N m
D) N m-2

I've tried doing (N kg-1)2 / N m2 kg-2 which simplifies to N2 kg / N m2kg-2 if you expand the bracket on the numerator.
This then further simplifies to N m-2kg-1 which isn't any of the answers...

According to the mark scheme, the correct answer is D but I can't see how the kg cancels out??
Am I going wrong somewhere?

Thanks

Edit: Nevermind, it turns out I can't even do basic indices laws *Facepalm* lol sorry

@titfortat @Kyx (Also if anyone wants to volunteer to be tagged in future questions I post, please let me know )

(N kg-1)2 / N m2 kg-2

= N2 kg-2 / N m2 kg-2

= Nm-2
the force was not with OP
Why? i dont get how you did this
