Congratulations!
Hi again you guys,
In case you don't yet know, there are some highly informative official PPLE webinars available online (on Youtube)
They are made by current PPLE students and professors talking and answering questions about the course.
I would highly recommend them if you want more info about the course, I found them to be very helpful x

Hi everyone! I know US and UK university offer holders of the same program would create Facebook group chats to know each other better. Would you guys be interested? I'd be happy to help coordinate! Once again, congratulations to everyone who got an offer!

Thanks for the input! If you are looking for more information you can email the admissions office and ask them to line you up with a current student as well! I did this last week and had my contact information passed to a third year student. He was very kind and answered in detail all my questions!

Did anybody else's myInfo link which they sent in the email not work? I was super stressed out for like 15min because I thought my wifi did not work and I would not be able to submit my essay on time. Luckily in the end I figured it out and logged into MyInfo through Google.
@Early bird applicants: How long did it take for the admission office to let you know about the interview round after you submitted your essay?

I applied in the regular round and just accepted the conditional offer. Now I´m getting pretty anxious because I still haven´t heard anything about housing. Has any of you heard anything/received the e-mail about housing? And do you only use the group chat on facebook because i don´t have facebook but would still love to chat with you guys and get to know you before university starts

That would be absolutely wonderful! Should I PM you my number or could you sent me one of those WhatsApp invitation links? Thank you so much, I was afraid I had to join Facebook

Hey, I'm currently preparing my application for the 2019 start and I'm wondering about the career prospects after you've graduated. It seems like nobody has a clear answer of what you'll do after so can anyone please provide me with more information?

It depends on which specialisation you choose. If its politics, you can go to a master to specialise in any specific field of political sciences and end up working for the government, NGOs, unions, academics, etc. etc. Really depends on what you specialise in during your masters.

Regarding psychology, as far as I know, it will be difficult to become a psychologist. PPLE teaches you a whole lot on doing research though so for that one I would more look into the direction of academia or research in the field.

For law you would probably want to look into the field of international law or comparative law. Again, difficult to become a lawyer as you need more specialised programmes for that. But besides that, depending on your master, you will be able to go into plently of different fields (including government). Economics, again depending on your master specialisation, offers you plenty of options.(Dutch students might be able to take a side-step here to obtain the credits to get back on track becoming a Dutch lawyer; look for civiel effect)

Just ask yourself: do I want to be a psychologist or lawyer? Then don't go to PPLE. Do I want to do a job where it useful to be able to think about complex question in contemporary society? Sure, go for it. Where you end up is pretty much up to you (as it is with many other bachelor programme tbh), hence no one seems to have a concrete answer for you.
