Contract Law Essay

What suggestions do people have in regards of aswering this question?

Notwithstanding modern criticism, the doctrine of consideration continues to serve a useful purpose in filtering out non-contractual promises. Its abolition would be a wrong move, and the Court of Appeal in Baird v Marks & Spencer was therefore right to limit promissory estoppel to a defensive role.

Discuss.

Any advice very very welcome
