Hi phoebetan00, welcome to TSR

Is there anything in particular that you’re looking for?
Hi there!
Just wanted to know more about current/future architecture students. And the process of uni applications. Also does UCL offer any clearing for architecture?

I'd definitely suggest checking out the Architecture and the Built Environment forum then, and possibly making a thread there too, if you haven't already

In terms of the process for uni applications, TSR has a number of guides here, and you can also see some more information in The Complete University Guide, although the dates are currently for the 2017/18 application cycle :yep:

When you say clearing places, do you mean for this year, or in general?

hey! thanks for replying! clearing in general, i meant. since i'll be applying for the 2019 intake, so was just wondering if they usually have any clearing spaces in case i don't get an offer from them?

The clearing list changes each year, I believe, so it may not indicate whether they will have any spaces for the 2019 intake

From a quick scour, it doesn't look like they had any for the 2018 intake, although it's possible they were filled before I checked!

Hi phoebetan00!

Welcome to The Student Room! I hope you are enjoying the rest of your summer.

I'm currently a student at Ravensbourne and thought you might like to hear about us. We are a specialist design and media university based in London. The building is an open space plan which allows for a friendly and collaborative environment.

Our Architecture course is taught by industry professionals and helps you to explore the practical and theoretical aspects of architecture. The students get the opportunity to work on live and competition briefs as well as getting to go abroad for projects. Our students get to go on multiple trips a year and our regularly invited to host a conference/festival where they get to network with the industry before they even graduate.

We also offer a Foundation course which I also too before starting my BA. It really helped me hone in on my skills and helped me to discover myself as a designer while building my portfolio. We also run portfolio workshops during the year and open days that you can attend. They are great ways to meet other students as well as the tutors.

I know you are looking into UCL but I hope this has helped a bit. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Goodluck with your A-Levels and UCAS applications!
