Spanish ab initio at Surrey?

I currently study French at A-Level and am hoping to apply for French and Spanish ab initio at Surrey, but the website states:
Required subjects
Grade B in the appropriate language at A level or equivalent is required for programmes incorporating French, German or Spanish. Please contact us for the requirements for ab initio Spanish or Russian.

though it also states:
BA French and Spanish
This degree builds on the Department of Languages and Translation Studies' long history of French and Spanish teaching. You will greatly enhance your proficiency in French and Spanish equally. Both languages are offered at post-A level standard; however, you can also study Spanish ab initio.

I emailed them about a week ago and have thus far received no reply. Should I just chuck it down on my UCAS and hope for the best?
Has anybody studied this, or is anyone else applying to do so?
Thanks for any help in advance

Hi, I looked on the website and it says the requirements are BBB with a definite minimum B in French. If Spanish is ab-initio, then I presume you don't have to have any qualifications in Spanish...
