What is the correct name of this ridge separating two water bodies?

Untitled.jpgThis ridge in the is separating two different colored waters. It's also referred to as a "till ridge" if that helps.

a spit?

I couldn't find a specific term for the separation of two different water bodies, I would refer to the land as a peninsula or you could highlight the different densities or salt concentrations of the different water bodies so they are not well-mixed.

Pass?
A cape, perhaps.

Would it be wrong to call this a meander neck/isthmus?
