Why what happened?

Hopefully it's one of those exams where you think it went awful but you actually did well in.

The exam was actually pretty good. It's just that Excel crashed for me so I lost all the work I did on there halfway through the exam. Now all the stuff I sent in is just like half as good as I could have made it... :sigh:

And my department still hasn't gotten back to me after I sent my form and the crash log. I guess it was because I sent it after the end of the exam but then again I was told to send it after by the other people handling the email questions. And my department also doesn't have a very good track record of replying back to things.

I was going to go meet people on my course tomorrow to finally do our Secret Santa exchange but now I kinda don't feel like it, especially since they were all going on about how easy it was and when I said I had the issue with the Excel stuff no one replied until someone else asked to send the address (I guess that's what first term friends are like :dontknow:). Maybe I'll text one of my old school friends instead. But I'll probably go though since I've already paid for where we're going and I don't want to keep someone else's gift from them... I just don't feel up for socialising yet even though that's probably because I haven't really left my house in a month...

Sorry for the rant! Now I'm off to do all the things I put off before because I was 'revising'.
Made some physics flash cards :woo:

Sorry to hear that both :frown: Exams suck, I had my own little upset 2 weeks ago for a practical assessment we had, but the important thing is to just move on and not let slip ups affect everything going forward :hugs:

That sounds unimaginably awful - you clearly haven't had the easiest of days today. I suppose your class mates were probably worried about themselves and it is easy to forget what's going on around you in exam periods. (If your secret santa was chocolate, and I was you, there'd be no secret santa left for tomorrow so I wouldn't have to go )

I'm sure your old school friends would be more supportive and understanding it'll just take time with your newer friends to get to a similar type of connection. Going to the secret Santa tomorrow will hopefully help towards this and take making friends at your own pace, if someone is does want to get to know you better they'll show interest in what you say.

Good luck with revision.
Work hard but not too hard - don't be afraid to take a break if you feel you need one.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'm not too keen on eating a plushie!
But yh, I'll definitely be taking it slow for the rest of this week!

Totally, I was just a bit disappointed as (I'm not trying to brag here but) I'd gotten firsts in everything so far. Definitely been a learning curve to university learning! :yep:

Thank you everyone for all of your support! You've all made me feel a whole lot better! :u:
I've done nothing today so gonna join this tomorrow because now I'm just too tired
Starting now :dumbells:
Bumping this thread up, because I will be here from tomorrow (Tuesday) onwards and will be here slightly before the 8 am or 10 am session starts :woo:

Oh damn the threats are out

Well I'd have to do from 4pm onwards because I have to endure the major inconvenience in life called school but I could do after 4 if I really wanted to

There’s 4 pm, 6 pm, 8 pm, and 10 pm. Don’t need to force yourself to come here at 4 if you will be tired from school, maybe take a short nap if you need to  I will still be here during those times; should be anyway.

I think I'll do 4pm and 6pm? I'm not a nap sort of gal so we're ok on that front

I'll start at 9 or so but here's the plan for most of today :woo:

 pre-reading for history of medicine module
 nuclear transport lecture
 take a break and cut coco's nails (my rabbit not me :bunny:)
 protein translocation lecture
 vesicular transport lecture
 make some MCQs
 prep ingredients for sushi
 join history of medicine zoom
 make the sushi and fry some gyoza
 further reading + write up notes neatly
 catch up on maths/online volunteer training
 bake a carrot cake if there's time
(edited 2 years ago)
I might start around or before 10 am. For that and the next session, I will finish reading and annotating on directors' duties and then dealing with outsiders (contracts). Do at least 3 hours of work before having a sleep rest.
Ok, 10 am session is starting!
