How to revise? What techniques to use?

I want to revise and have lots of motivation and inspiration but I dont know how to revise. I want to get good grades and be smart but what should I actually do. I dont have any tests for the next few months and I am only in yr9 but I want to revise and get good grades so what should I do. I have a study schedule but have no homework to fill it with. I will sit down at my desk and want to revise but how do I do it? I dont have any specific subject matter to revise but what shall I do? What techniques?
