Learning to cook as a student!

While some people may learn to cook while growing up, whether a few basic meals or you have grown up as a full blown chef, moving to university is when a lot of people learn how to cook for themselves for the first time, myself included! :cute:

It is a good idea to plan in advance your meals and your groceries so that you can stick within your budget and avoid just picking anything you want off the shelves. Simple recipes can be found online and on social media. Finding simple recipes for students is also good for keeping the amount of ingredients, cost and time low!

Kingston has a wide range of supermarkets for different budgets, so whether you want to shop on a budget at Aldi or Lidl, or perhaps have a bit more to spend at Sainsburys, M&S and Waitrose - the choice is there.

Another great way to save time and money is cooking in bulk, then you don't have to worry about preparing a meal after a long day of studying!

If you're new to cooking start with basic recipes and as you get used to cooking and have a few specialty meals that you've memorised, you can try a wider variation of recipes. Who knows, you might find cooking really enjoyable! If you're not fond of cooking, maybe try cooking together with friends sometimes!

And remember to clean up after yourself!

Do you have any favourite recipes or culinary tips to share? :eating:
