transformation q

(c3 Jun 2014 ocr q9)

The markscheme from this question tells me that a transformation of 7sin(theta + 51.8)
is a stretch parallel to the y axis (which i understand) with a scale factor of 1/7.
and a translation 51.8 in the positive direction

Why is the sf not 7? I always thought that a transformation of af(x) would have a sf=a.
Why is the translation not in the negative direction?

So confused

Check the question again. They are asking for the transformation from 7sin(x + 51.8) to sin(x) and not the other way round.
ah yes thank you
