it means they consider your answers to a and b together when marking so you dont lose marks for saying something in a that woud come up for b and not repeating it

so wait u can gain a mark from what u said in part a even though it relates to part b (and u didnt write it as an answer for part b)?

hey i was looking at paper 3 markscheme for 2021 and in question 2 b it says "to be marked holistically with part a". do any of u know what it means..?

it means that if you put answers for a) that also answer part b), but these answers weren’t physically written in part b), you still got marks for part b)
