Hi. Basically my question is why is Br2 observed as a brown solution in this question and not a yellow one.

In another paper the answer was yellow solution and not a brown one.

Why is it like this in this case?

In this reaction, Br2 is formed, which is a brown solution. I'm not sure what the other paper said, but maybe there were different products resulting in the yellow solution, as bromide ions are typically responsible for a brown colour.
