I don’t understand this example at all? Like I understand how they got the first element but they didn’t include the workings for the 2nd element and I don’t know how they got the -1/2??

They just do the inner product calculations....

I did that by hand and it worked but when I used chatgpt it gave me a weird answer.I think it was because of the brackets.

chatgpt can't do maths :smile: You need to do the calc by hand.

It was useful for double checking, if you simplified the equation and asked it to solve parts of it you eventually do get the answer.
